The boring parts, done properly
Most playlist players fall over on the same three things: giant playlists, remote navigation, and guide data. Those are the things this was built to fix.
Add a playlist, get a library
Point it at an M3U file, an M3U URL or your Xtream login. Channels, films and series arrive together, sorted into folders you can rearrange however you like.
Built for the remote in your hand
Every tile, row and menu is reachable with a D-pad, focus never gets trapped off-screen, and the app opens with something already focused so the first press does what you expect.
Guide data that just appears
EPG URLs are detected from your playlist automatically, including Xtream portals. The guide refreshes on a schedule, and when a feed will not load the app tells you which of the four possible reasons it is.
Series that group themselves
Four thousand episode files become the shows they belong to: seasons, episode numbers and real episode titles, not the encode settings your provider glued onto the end of the filename.
Posters, plots and cast
Artwork, ratings, blurbs and cast photos are matched automatically behind the scenes, and Flix opens on a proper front page of trending titles rather than an alphabetical file list.
Profiles, search and multiview
Separate profiles with their own favourites and an optional PIN, one search across channels, films, series and the guide, and up to four streams on screen at once.
Set up in about two minutes
Install it, point it at your playlist, and you are watching. That is the whole setup.

Add your playlist
On first launch the app asks for one thing: an M3U file, an M3U URL, or your Xtream host, username and password. That is the whole setup.
Press play
The TV guide starts downloading on its own the moment the playlist is in, with a progress bar in the corner, and series covers arrive with it. There is nothing else to set up.
Straight answers
Does AlgoPlay come with channels?
No. It is a player, the same way VLC is a player. You bring your own M3U or Xtream playlist, from a source you are entitled to watch. AlgoPlay does not sell, host, bundle, link to or recommend any content or provider, and you are responsible for the legality of what you connect it to.
Do you see my playlist or my login?
No. Your playlists, Xtream logins, favourites and watch history are stored only on your device. There are no accounts, and nothing about what you watch is sent to us.
Which devices does it work on?
Fire TV Stick (including the cheaper Lite and 3rd-gen sticks), Android TV boxes, Nvidia Shield, and Android phones and tablets. Android 5.0 and up.
Is it really free?
