Privacy

Short version: the app has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and nothing about what you watch leaves your device.

The app

Everything AlgoPlay stores (playlists, Xtream credentials, favourites, watch history, profiles, downloaded files and the programme guide) is held in the app’s private storage on the device. On a non-rooted Android device no other app can read it. Uninstalling removes all of it.

Apart from your own playlist, guide and stream addresses, the app only goes online to fetch artwork and details for films and series, and to check this website for updates. Neither is sent anything that identifies you or tells it what you watch.

There is no crash reporting service. Crashes are written to a file inside the app’s own storage and shown in Settings → Diagnostics, where you can read or clear them. They are not uploaded anywhere.

This website

No analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

The site is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure keeps standard request logs. That is the extent of it.

Content

AlgoPlay is a player. It does not sell, host, bundle, link to or recommend any channels or media, and ships with no playlist. What you connect it to, and whether you are entitled to, is your responsibility.

Changes and contact

If any of this changes it will change on this page, and a change that affects what leaves your device will be noted in the release notes as well.
